La Mascara says he’s looking forward to the Alternativa Tournament, he’s been wrestling 11 years now, and is grateful for it.

Brief words from Hijo Del Signo, Mortiz entrants in Gran Alternativa Tournament. It’s where a rookie is paired up with a veteran. This was just the first half of the tournament not the final tourney.

1 Fall: Terrible and Mortiz come running out during Ultimo & Escorpion’s entrance and attack right away. Both these teams are rudos. Mortiz slams Ultimo from ramp into the ring. Ultimo then does a plancha from the top out to them. Ultimo does a reverse superplex to Mortiz and pins him. Escorpion does a spring board moonsault onto Terrible and pins him too for the win.

Final:
Ultimo Guerrero & Escorpion vs La Sombra & Diamante
1 Fall: The match happens as soon as the last one ended, with Diamante does a flying head scissors to Ultimo. Escorpion gets flipped into the ring by Sombra and met with a spring board drop kick by Diamante in mid air. Ultimo gets a double superkick. Diamante and Sombra to twin moonsaults from opposite ringposts out to their foes. Sombra tries a superplex on Ultimo but Ultimo reverses it and gets a two count. Sombra does a sunset flip pin on Ultimo but Escorpion saves him. Sombra tries a huricanrana pin on Escorpion but Escorpion rolls through it for a two count. Escorpion school boys Sombra another 2. Diamante does a Code Red on Escorpion for a 2. Diamante and Sombra had their foes pinned but ref Tirantes slow counts them. Escorpion and Ultimo do double clotheslines and receive double drop kicks. Escorpion and Ultimo win. This was the first half of the Tournament. I liked the way CMLL presented it, very nicely done, in all with very good action in all the matches.

Volador Jr. & Dragon Lee vow to win the next round of the tournament.

Momentos Estelares: I missed seeing these, Valiente doing a moonsault out to Ultimo Guerrero, Atlantis & Dragon Rojo Jr. doing twin Atlantitas to Blue Panther & Angel De Oro, Sombra doing a moonsault out to Ultimo Guerrero, Averno doing a flip plancha out to Mascara Dorada, Dorada doing a flip plancha out to Mephisto.

Volador does a chest cracker then a back cracker to Blanco, but Dorada saves him. Volador superplex’s Dorada while Blanco power bombs Volador, and Lee comes off with a top rope elbow to Dorada for 2 counts, but the ref does appear to count 3 several times, but since that’s not the ending, those were ignored. Blanco comes off the top with a huricanrana pin on Volador, and Dorada does a corkscrew splash on Dragon and they pin them for the win.

Negro Casas & Puma King vow to win Negro says in this case he is a mentor and uncle to his rookie. Puma is his nephew.

Negro Casas & Puma King vs Averno & Palacio Negro
1 Fall: Averno & Palacio attack right away. It is short lived, as Puma does a flying head scissors to Averno, and a flip plancha. Palacio does a tope to Casas. Puma does a slow huricanrana pin to Averno for a 2. Puma does a chest cracker to Averno for a 2 Palacio saves. Palacio does a corkscrew splash on Puma, and Averno reverses a Casita/Majistral and they pin their foes. This was the only match so far that wasn’t that good. Short and not much to it.

Averno & Palacio Negro vow to win, and go on to face Ultimo & Escorpion.

Final #2:
Averno Palacio Negro vs Mascara Dorada & Metal Blanco
1 Fall: Averno & Palacio attack right away, Averno tries to unmask Dorada. There appears to be a edit here, as suddenly they are much further along in the match. They make a come back however, with Dorada doing a missile drop kick to Averno, Blanco does a moonsault out to Averno, and Palacio does a flip plancha out to Blanco and Dorada does one too. Averno power bombs Blanco, and Palacio does a corkscrew splash to him, and Averno does a pump handle slam to Dorada and both get 2 counts. Averno and Palacio power bomb their foes and pin them with their feet on the ropes but ref Tirantes sees them and won’t count. Dorada and Blanco to twin school boys and get slow 2 counts. Averno and Palacio do twin Devil’s Wings to Blanco and Dorada respectively, and get 2 counts. Blanco does a flying head scissors to Palacio and a twisting plancha to him outside. Dorada does a running flying head scissors from the ramp, and a sunset flip pin for a slow 2 count on Averno. Dorada tries a flying head butt tope but Averno pulls off his mask in mid flight, Ref. Tirantes DQ’s Averno and Palacio. Dorada & Blanco win this half of this round of the tournament and they go on to face Ultimo Guerrero & Escorpion in the final. Dorada says afterward he lets his actions speak louder than his words and wants a mask vs mask with Averno. They fight again briefly, but Averno pulls off his mask again.

That wraps up the show, it’s amazing how CMLL manages to cram so much into almost 2 hours. This was one action packed tourny. Seek it out and watch if you can. More of reviews are at vicsixx.wordpress.com, email for response is vicsixx42@hotmail.com. Thanks for reading.

This was a one hour show, I kind wish they were all one hour. It would make writing them up much easier. These were Rey de Reyes matches.

Cibernetico, Scoria, Nigma, & Billy El Malo vs La Parka Jr., Nicho El Millionario, Jack Evans, Joe Lider.

1 Fall: These were highlights. Scoria and Evans go at it. Nigma comes in to help him, but Evans fights them off. Lider comes in and fights the same two. He gives Scoria a chest cracker. Nicho fights Billy, Billy sets a chiair up in the corner but of course Billy is the one who goes into it. La Parka comes in next hoping to go with Ciber, but Los Bizarro’s Ciber’s group launch a gang beat down. Using chairs, Nigma power bombs Jack. Ciber rips Parka’s mask and Parka bleeds. Billy comes off the top with a chair under him onto Jack. Taboo at ringside is helping Ciber help Parka bleed. The beat down goes on while. Scoria does a standing moonsault on Jack. Ciber and Taboo toss Parka onto a a chair. After the commercial Parka and his group finally launch a come back. Also using chairs, Nicho tosses Billy into ringside. Parka wrestles Scoria gets a near fall saved by Nigma. Nigma DDT’s Parka gets a near fall, Jack came off the top onto him for the save. Jack does a Northen Lights bomb onto Nigma but Billy saves him. Billy does an Outsiders Edge bomb on Jack but Joe breaks up the pin. Nicho puts Billy on his shoulders and Joe came off the top doing a DDT on Billy. Scoria sitting on the top rope tried to do a DDT on Joe from the apron to the ground, but Joe hung on to the rope, and then a Spanish Fly on him from the apron to the ground. Jack and Nicho to planchas outside. Leaving Ciber and Parka. Parka bumps into the ref. Copetes Salazar, and the ref goes down, Parka then DDT’s Ciber, but no ref. Parka goes to revive the ref, Ciber gets brass knucks out of his tights, and plants Parka with them, ref revives quickly, Ciber pins Parka for the win. After the commercial they unmasked Parka but he was wearing another mask underneath, Ciber put it on a stick and set it on fire, like a torch, and vowed to set fire to Parka himself. Nicho took it away from him, swinging it chased off the Bizarros.

Extreme Tiger vs Carlito Colon vs L. A. Park vs Mesias

1 Fall: This was the Rey De Reys Match. The fighting gets underway right away, mostly brawling back and forth. Park is soon fighting Mesias, and Carlito is soon fighting Tiger. Not long Carlito is fighting Park in the ring. Carlito superkicks Park. Park is kicking Carlito. Carlito does a spring board back elbow to him and gets a two count, Mesias makes the save. Mesias starts brawling with Carlito. Carlito does a stunner to him, Mesias does a back cracker, Carlito’s move to him, gets a two count, Tiger saves him. Tiger and Mesias go at it, Mesias does a military press on Tiger. Tiger gets a two count on him with a sunset flip move, Park saves him. Tiger comes off the top, but Park catches him and dances around with him, and sits him on the top rope. Tiger comes off the top with a flying head sciccors move. Park does a reverse DDT on him, but Mesias breaks up the pin. Mesias and Park are soon fighting, Mesias does a huricanrana on him standing on the top rope. I’m really not clear on the rules to this, the other two are nowhere to be seen. After an edit, they reappear and all four are fighting at ringside, Mesias flips Park onto ringside and they fight around the ringside area. Mesias jumps off the balcony area onto Park. The ref is counting all this time and apparently, Mesias and Park are counted out. Leaving Tiger and Carlito. Park and Mesias are still fighting around ringside even though they are out of the match. Tiger tries a spring board moonsault but Carlito got his knees up, and does a corkscrew neck breaker to him, he gets a two count. Tiger does a missile drop kick to him and gets his own two count. Carlito goes up top, but Tiger shoved the ref into the ropes knocking him off, Tiger goes up does a 450 splash on Carlito and pins him for the win. Extreme Tiger is announced as the new Rey de Reyes Winner.

That wraps up the show, I wish they were all one hour. My blog with a lot more reviews is at vicsixx42.wordpress.com. Email for response is vicsixx42@hotmail.com. Thanks for reading.

This is CMLL on Galavision for April 3, 2011. I confess I’ve missed this show.

This was the Dos Leyendas show, they were honoring Angel Blanco. They had his newphews on, his wife, his daughter too. Several wrestlers were on vowing to win Felino, La Mascara, Tesxano Jr., La Sombra was wearing tights with the 3M scotch tape logo all over them.

La Pesta Negra: Negro Casas, Felino, & Mr. Niebla vs La Sombra, Toscano, & Rush

1st Fall: Niebla’s boots looked like those fake bigfoot feet. Toscano and Felino square off, Felino rubs his armpit stink on Toscano, then rubs spit on Toscano’s face. Then Casas and Sombra square off for while, then Niebla and Rush go at it. Niebla then goes over and kisses Casas. Rush attacks, then fakes a tope, but Sombra does a moonsault from the top out to Niebla. Toscano pins Felino with a bridge pin. Rush does a stomach stomp and pins Casas to win this fall.

2nd fall: At the start Niebla hugs the ring card girl. Some fast moves ensue back and forth. In a slap off with Sombra, Niebla slipped off the apron. Toscano rubs his armpit into Felino’s face, but Felino liked it. Niebla slapped Toscano’s chest multiple times. Some spit humor ensues with Niebla that I don’t really want to get into. Yuck! Casas and Rush chest slap each other for a bit. Rush sitting on the top rope got superkicked by Casas, Rush then does one on him on the apron. Felino does a plancha flip out to Rush. Sombra does a flip off the top rope but Casas moved, then Casas submits him to a crossface. Niebla submits Toscano to his human knot hold.

3rd Fall: In a damn nice move, during a criss cross, Sombra did a jump over then a flip over on Felino, but during the flip over Felino dropped kicked him right in the face while Sombra was upside down during the flip. La Pesta works on their foes with kicks and slaps. Niebla bites Toscano’s chest. Niebla leg drops Que Monito. Sombra does a nice tope to Niebla. Casas does his silla out to Toscano. Rush does a flip tope to Felino. Niebla then did a superplex on Sombra and pins him for the win. The Parrot mini and Monito got into it briefly. How does the parrot see out of the costume? Very good match.

Footage of the honoring ceremony was shown.
Mascara Dorada says he is ready to win the middleweight title.

For the NWA Middleweight Title: Averno (c) vs Mascara Dorada

1st Fall: Averno’s second was Mephisto, Dorada’s was Rush. They start slow feeling each other out for a while. They show Angel Blanco’s family sitting in the audience. Dorada does a flying head scissors move on Averno on the ramp. With Averno on the second rope looking out to Dorada, Dorada comes running from the ramp, jumps over Averno with a sunset flip power bomb to him and pins him to win this fall.

2nd Fall: Dorada does a tope to Averno. However Averno does a Devil’s Wings to Dorada and pins him to win this fall, only lasted about a minute.

3rd Fall: Dorada jumps off the second rope with a huricanarana to Averno outside. Averno does a flip tope to him. This falls seems obviously edited. Dorada does a ‘rana pin for a 2 count. Dorada does a moonsault from the top rope to the outside. Dorada jumped from the ramp into the ring again but his Averno caught him and power bombed him for a 2 count. Dorada does a flip tope to him. Dorada does another to Mephisto. Averno does two Devil’s Wings but only got a 2 count. Averno tries a casita but Dorada reverses it for a 2 count. The ref got distracted discussing the 2 count with Rush when Mephisto tripped Dorada, and Averno low blowed him and pinned him for the win. Mephisto and Averno beat down Dorada and Rush afterward but Black Warrior came out for the save, unmasking Averno. Dorada said afterward you don’t win or keep a title like that. He wants a rematch. This was another very good match.

Angel Blanco wife and daughter say they are grateful for this night.

Hair vs Hair: Maximo & Super Porky vs Texano Jr. & El Terrible

1st Fall: It was a big deal having father and son team up Porky and Maximo. Texano and Terrible attack right away. Maximo does a clothesline to Texano, then Texano and Terrible do a double suplex to Porky. They do a double team chest cracker to Maximo. But out of nowhere Maximo and Porky wrap up and pin Terrible and Texano, respectively.

2nd Fall: Porky and Maximo do their moves to Terrible and Texano. However Texano and Terrible power slam and pin Porky and Maximo, respectively to win this fall. Brief.

3rd Fall: Maximo topes Terrible, then Texano topes him, then Porky does a plancha from the ramp. Porky does a superplex on Texano while Terrilbe power bombed him all on the same move, and Maximo splahes Terrible, Texano and Maximo got 2 counts on their pins. Maximo got a arm lock on Texano, while Terrible got a head scissors on him, while Porky splashes him, more 2 counts. Maximo does a flip placha out to Texano from the top. Terrible got pulled down from the apron, and Porky does a tope to them, the ref held the ropes open for Porky. Terrible tried a suplex on Porky but Porky did a small package for a 2. Ref Babe Richard got in the way, and Porky faked a low blow, in the confusion, Maximo pinned Terrible, and Texano pinned Porky at the same time. Leaving now Maximo and Texano. Maximo kisses Texano for a 2 count. Maximo tried a small package but the ref was distracted by Terrible. Texano then hits a fireman’s carry neckbreaker move and pins Maximo for the win. A flood of yellow confetti rained down in the ring, while other members of the Brazo’s family came into the ring. It was a big deal after all having father and son teaming together. Maximo and Porky got their heads shaved, and Texano and Terrible hugged them, saying it was a honor wrestling and beating them on this night. And that wrapped up the show. This was a okay match considering Porky and Maximo.

It was great watching and reviewing this show again. my e-mail is vicsixx42@hotmail.com, and my blog for my reviews is at vicsixx42.wordpress.com

Hi, I’m back, anybody miss me? Or remember me? I thought I’d give this a try again, with CMLL being back on Galavision, I know I’ve been gone a while but real life tends to get in the way sometimes.

Gran Apache is asking his daughter Faby if she’s sure she can go out and wrestle with being injured last week, she says yes she has to she’s not gonna let Jennifer Blake keep her title.

Pimpinella Escarlotta & Faby Apache vs Alan Stone & Jennifer Blake

1 Fall: Alan and Pimpi exchange slaps and fight a little but are soon replace with Jennifer and Faby but ref. Tirantes Jr. trips Faby and that starts the rudo beat down, with Jennifer working on Faby’s bad knee. They lower Faby’s knee bandage and hit it with a chair. The tecnicos start a come back not long after but the ref takes the chair away. Pimpi does a missile drop kick and plancha outside to Alan. Faby does a Devil’s Wings to Jennifer but ref. Tirantes Jr. slow counts it. Several more slow counts ensue. Jennifer clips Faby’s bad knee and applies a half crab, Faby taps and the rudos win. Typical match for these guys.

Perro Jr. vows to destroy Ciber and all the other groups around, they are the best.

Bull Terry Match: (Chain Match)
Heavy Metal vs Electroshock

1 Fall: They are attached by the neck, Heavy is accompanied by his midget and his girlfriend. Electro attacks Heavy before the ref. Pepe Tropicasas (Heavy’s dad) can attach the chain. The ref soon forces him to attach it. Typical chain spots back and forth, hitting and whipping each other with the chain. Heavy is soon bleeding. They fight to the stage and back again. Electro accuses the ref of favoring Heavy, well duh. Electro does a chest cracker and touches 3 corners before he’s stopped, Electro touches 3 corners again. On another try he is distracted by Los Maniacos coming out Ultimo Gladiator & Silver King. Electro beats them back, Heavy’s girl and the midget interfere and Electro slaps them hard, while the ref is tending to the girl, Heavy low blows Electro and touches all four corners to win the match. Los Maniacos offer Heavy friendship or something like it, and they beat down Electro after. Not much wrestling typical chain spots for this type of match.

Los Maniacos: Ultimo Gladiator & Silver King & Zorro vs Los Bizarros: Charly Manson & Taboo & Billy El Malo

1 Fall: Billy El Malo is the former Billy Boy. Los Bizarros start a beat down right away, but it doesn’t last long and Los Maniacos beat them down and it goes on a while. Until a fake Zorro comes out wearing the psycho mask Zorro wore for while. This triggers a come back for Los Bizarros. Billy topes Ultimo, Charly topes Silver King. Zorro hits Taboo with the kendo stick, and then takes off after the fake Zorro. Billy hits a Gory Bomb on Ultimo and pins him for the win.

Los Perros: Perro Aquayo Jr., Halloween, Damien, Lizmark Jr. vs Dr. Wagner Jr., & The Pscho Circus: Killer, Murder & Pscho Clown.

1 Fall: Los Perros start a beat down right away using chairs, sticks, and chains. Mostly Chairs, the Perros to topes to the clowns. Perro does his corkscrew elbow to Wagner and sets up a table top in the corner, but of course Perro is the one who goes through it. The Clowns and Wagner start a come back using chairs and a chain. Killer does a chest cracker to Damien. Wagner and Perro square off, Wagner is then displeased with the ref Tirantes Jr. and kicks him. Wagner then misses a diving head butt, and everybody does a tope or a placha outside. Leaving Wagner and Damien, Damien displays some pretty good moves, but Wagner hits his Wagner Driver and pins him for the win. Los Perros launch a attack afterward with chairs and unmask Wagner and the Clowns. Pretty good match.

Konnan and Zorro are talking Konnan asks Zorro what’s happening with him. Zorro says didn’t you see him? Konnan says can’t you see Charly is playing with your head you were the Zorro under that mask. Get you head straight and help the Society win you are our Champion. Forget the past and help the Society win the war. Zorro pledges to do so.

Joe Lider, Mesias, La Parka Jr. vs Cibernetico, Scoria, Nigma

1 Fall: Ciber’s group are Bizarros also, they attack right away and start the beat down. Ciber uses a chair on Parka. Multiple chairs are used with a lot of chair shots. Scoria does a guillotine leg drop on Lider. The come back starts of course, with Lider doing the same move to Scoria. The Bizarros get chair shots. After the commercial the match seems to have settled down to back and forth wrestling, this goes on a while. Lider does back crackers to Nigma and Scoria. Lider does a fireman’s carry slam to Scoria from the apron to the arena floor. La Parka does a choke slam to Nigma and pins him for the win. After the rest of the Bizarros come out to join in the attack, Zorro comes out but is held back by his Maniaco buddies. And that ends the show.

Don’t know how long I can keep this up with a unstable work schedule, I may be a little late some weeks, if you want to read up on almost 5 years of lucha reviews you can find them on my blog, http://vicsixx42.wordpress.com.
